PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate gaseous hydrogen and gaseous oxygen in a state where an electrolytic cell is protected, and to store the same under high pressure.
SOLUTION: Pure water is stored in tanks 13 and 14. An electrolytic cell 101 is installed in the pure water 1 in the tank 14. The pure water W1 is passed through a first electrode part (the side of an electrode 2-1) in the electrolytic cell 101, and the pure water 2 in the tank 14 is passed through a second electrode part (the side of an electrode 2-2). Then, gaseous oxygen can be obtained from the first electrode part, and gaseous hydrogen can be obtained from the second electrode part. The gaseous oxygen is separated from the pure water dischraged from a passage L2 and is stored in a chamber 17 of the tank 13. The gaseous hydrogen is separated from the pure water discharged from a passage L3 and is further split at a split ratio of 3:1, and the gaseous hydrogen at a split ratio of 1 is stored in the chamber 18 of the tank 13, and the gaseous hydrogen at a split ratio of 3 is stored in a storage chamber 23. The volume ratio between the chamber 17 and the chamber 18 is controlled to 2:1, and the volume of the storage chamber 23 is made equal to the total of the volume of the chamber 17 and the chamber 18.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
|
