PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile robot, a program, and a robot control method capable of automatically improving an ability for monitoring a user during operation. SOLUTION: Movable space information for the user which describes a movable space of the user 2 is generated based on the position information for the user indicating the position where the user 2 exists, and the positioning relationship between the robot and the user 2 is controlled based on the generated movable space information for the user. The ability for monitoring the user can be automatically improved during operation by automatically generating the movable space information for the user which describes the movable space information of the user 2.
