The method involves atomizing water (4) found in a fuel cell exhaust gas by ultrasound, where the ultrasound is produced by a piezo-unit (2). An air column in a fuel cell exhaust gas discharge (1) is excited to natural frequency with high tangential portion. A body in effective connection with the ultrasonic generator and arranged in the discharge transfers the structure-borne sound on the water found in the fuel cell exhaust gas. An independent claim is also included for a fuel cell system comprising a fuel cell and a fuel cell exhaust gas discharge.
