Provided are a silica rubber composition which is improved in heat resistance and heat build-up without the deterioration of other physical properties, and a tire comprising the tread made of the composition. The silica rubber composition comprises 5-10 phr of an engineered elastomer based on 100 phr of a rubber material. Preferably the engineered elastomer contains 20-30 % of pulp based on 100 % of an elastomer. Preferably the elastomer is at least one selected from the group consisting of a natural rubber, a styrene-butadiene rubber, a butadiene rubber, a styrene rubber, a butyl rubber, an isoprene rubber, a chloroprene rubber and a neoprene rubber. The composition comprises silica or a mixture of silica and carbon black as a reinforcing agent. |
