A display substrate and a display panel having the same are provided to prevent the defect due to static electricity, by dividing dummy thin film transistors into plural groups and setting the numbers of dummy thin film transistors for respective groups at random. A plurality pixels are defined by a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines(DL). A dummy switching part(270) is formed at the outside of a region where the pixels are formed. The dummy switching part protects the pixels from static electricity. The dummy switching part includes a plurality of switching elements(DTFT1~DTFT10) connected to the data lines. The switching elements are classified into a plurality of groups. The numbers of dummy switching elements for respective groups are random. |
