A broadcasting receiver for replaying broadcasting signals and a method thereof are provided to attach memory indexes to broadcasting programs watched already by a user to easily the recognize broadcasting programs watched for re-watching. A broadcasting receiver for replaying broadcasting signals includes a tuner part(110) for selecting a predetermined broadcasting program, and an output part(120) for outputting the broadcasting program selected via the tuner part. A memory part(130) stores data on the broadcasting program and index data corresponding to the broadcasting program. An input part(140) is to receive checking commands for broadcasting programs watched by a user. A control part(150) displays a list of the index data stored in the memory part in response to the checking command input, and reads out and displays the broadcasting program data corresponding to the index data from the memory part if the index data is selected from the list.
