METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTING QUALITY OF 3D STEREO IMAGE USING COMMUNICATION CHANNEL

A method and an apparatus for adjusting the quality of a three-dimensional stereo image by using a communication channel are provided to adjust the quality of three-dimensional image signals by an input unit attached to a display device, and automatically adjust the optimum depth of images by measuring a distance between a user and the display device when the user does not know functions of the display device or does not fully understand appropriate depth and quality adjustment. A distance measuring unit(222) measures a distance between a user(210) and a display device(220) connected with a three-dimensional image signal generator(230) by a communication channel. A disparity generator generates a disparity value corresponding to the measured distance value. A transmitting and receiving unit transmits the generated disparity value to the three-dimensional image signal generator through the communication channel.
