<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a zinc-based oxide having high mobility or high thermoelectric performance from cheap zinc oxide as a base material by low temperature firing. <P>SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of a zinc-based oxide, a feed material containing zinc element and oxygen element is fired in an inert gas. The zinc-based oxide obtainable by this manufacturing method is useful as an n-type semiconductor and a thermoelectric transformation material, for example, when this oxide including zinc is used as an n-type thermoelectric transformation material it can be a high efficiency thermoelectric transformation module. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
