<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a string for a racket with improved ball hitting feeling and durability. <P>SOLUTION: The string 10 is provided with a bundled body 18, and the bundled body 18 is covered with a covering material 19. The bundled body 18 is provided with 7 monofilaments 11-17, the respective monofilaments 11-17 are composed of nylon 6, and the cross sectional shape of the respective monofilaments 11-17 is a right hexagon. For the adjacent monofilaments 11-17, opposing side faces are brought into surface contact with each other. The side faces are strongly adhered to each other by an adhesive material.
