PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that estimates time necessary for retrieving real data from a retrieval condition received by an information retrieving device, determines a processing method on the basis of an estimated result and automatically dividing a processing method to retrieve the real data on the basis of a determination result. SOLUTION: This information retrieving device has a retrieval condition inputting part for receiving a retrieval condition, an index retrieving part for retrieving an index satisfying the retrieval condition referring to a storing part, a retrieval processing method determining part for determining a retrieval processing method for retrieving real data of a retrieval object from the retrieved index referring to the real data retrieval time estimating table of the storing part, a real data retrieving part to retrieve real data referring to the storing part by using the determined retrieval processing method, and a result output part for outputting the retrieved real data as a retrieval result.
