PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antimicrobial molded article by utilizing bamboo pyroligneous acid as a liquid antimicrobial agent. SOLUTION: The antimicrobial molded article is obtained by mixing a thermoplastic resin with porous inorganic microcapsules carrying the bamboo pyroligneous acid as the liquid antimicrobial agent, and molding the mixed product into a prescribed shape. A spherical fine particle comprising a porous silica having 0.1-50μm average particle diameter is suitable for the base material of the inorganic microcapsule. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
