PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centering management device of a passenger conveyer driving machine and its method, in which the centering can be confirmed and adjusted reasonably compared with the conventional art. SOLUTION: The driving machine 2 has a motor 4, a motor base 5, a reducer 3, a motor-side pulley, a reducer-side pulley 7, and a belt 8 stretched between the pulleys. In assembly of the driving machine 2, after the centering adjustment of both pulleys, centering management reference lines 10 are provided in advance to at least two portions of a motor base to be spaced from each other and at positions spaced by a fixed distance from an inner face of a motor-pulley-side rotor 6a. In the centering adjustment after the operation, the centering between both pulleys is performed by keeping the distance constant from the inner face of the motor-pulley-side rotor to the centering management reference lines.
