Disclosed is a beverage packed in a container containing a vegetable juice and/or a fruit juice, which has a good sense of drinking and is excellent in detachment of precipitates from the container and re-dispersibility of precipitates. A beverage packed in a container comprising a vegetable juice and/or a fruit juice, the beverage comprising the following ingredients (A) to (D): (A) 0.5 to 5% by mass of a low molecular weight alginate salt; (B) 0.5 to 5% by mass of a guargum decomposition product; (C) 2 to 30% by volume of an insoluble solid material; and (D) 85% by mass or more of water, and satisfying the following requirements (1) to (4): (1) (A)+(B) = 7% by mass; (2) ((A)+(B)/(C)) = 6 (% by mass/% by volume); (3) pH after thermal sterilization: 3 to 5; and (4) viscosity after thermal sterilization: 300 mPa·s or less.
