<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing utensil of an end-of-ink detection type which can certainly realize its ink supply and writing to a last single droplet of ink, when an end-of-ink sign is shown due to an unexpected accident. <P>SOLUTION: This writing utensil supplies the ink with which an ink occlusion element is impregnated inside a barrel, to a pen point serving as a writing part. The ink with which the ink occlusion element is impregnated, is supplied to the pen point through an ink guide tube which is formed of a see-through transparent or translucent resin and has an ink repellent layer formed on at least, the surface in contact with the ink. In addition, the end-of-ink sign from the ink occlusion element can be detected by seeing through the ink guide tube through a see-through part formed in the barrel. Thus the problem can be solved by providing at least, one ink relay felt or an ink relay tube which intermediates between the ink occlusion element and the pen point, inside the ink guide tube. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
