<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for preventing blocking by carrying out cooling for paper satisfactorily with a toner image formed on it even in an image forming apparatus in which processing speed for an image forming process is high and ejecting speed for the paper is high. <P>SOLUTION: When an image forming apparatus 1 receives an image forming instruction, the toner image is formed on instructed type of paper. Next, the control part 80 of the image forming apparatus 1 specifies transporting speed of the paper by a paper cooling part 40 by referring to a cooling setting table TBL2 stored in a storing part 90.
