<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera capable of performing photography while properly performing pixel addition. <P>SOLUTION: In the electronic camera, an auto photography mode is set (S116; YES), in the case of predetermined set photographic conditions (S118; YES), an imaging device is driven in a normal reading mode for sequentially reading imaging signal charges of all pixels of the imaging device (S119). In addition, whether or not a blurring reduction photography mode or a sensitization photography mode is set is judged (S125; YES), in the case of the predetermined set photographic conditions (S118; NO), pixel addition magnification of the imaging device is calculated and exposure time is reset according to a photometric value obtained by photometric processing of S114 and the photographic conditions set in S109 (S127).
