<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the stop of a reproduced video image at the occurrence of an error in a transmission path when transmitting contents by using a wired or wireless LAN, and to provide a technology capable of attaining the immediate start of reproduction even if the reproduced video image is stopped. <P>SOLUTION: A content transmission apparatus transmits only encryption information to a content receiving apparatus through a path other than a path for content transmission when the content transmission apparatus transmits contents to the content receiving apparatus.
