<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a portable terminal game in a portable terminal wherein a portable terminal game program is started on the basis of use of electronic money. <P>SOLUTION: When the portable terminal receives charging information from a settlement terminal, the portable terminal updates a money amount of the electronic money, and stores a this-time cumulative money amount. When a transaction is a specific transaction, a preceding cumulative money amount and the this-time cumulative money amount are updated on the basis of the charging information. The portable terminal stores, in a prescribed storage area, the prescribed portable terminal game program, the cumulative money amount of the electronic money used in the specific transaction at preceding start-up of the portable terminal game program, and an executable frequency of the portable terminal game executed by the start-up of the portable terminal game program.
