<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user with information about calculated insurance benefit by allowing a car navigation system to individually calculate an insurance benefit corresponding to a route on the basis of information stored in a map database. <P>SOLUTION: A route to a destination is calculated before actually traveling the route, the insurance benefit corresponding to the route (and length of the route/distance to the destination) is calculated from an insurance benefit per unit distance associated with a road attribute of a road constituting the calculated route by using insurance benefit information associated with road attribute information included in road information stored in the existing map database, and information about the calculated insurance benefit is notified by a voice output, display on the screen, or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
