<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller capable of setting its power saving mode in accordance with user's preference. <P>SOLUTION: This remote controller 5 is provided with a display portion 5a for displaying operating conditions and set conditions of a device, and an operating portion 5h comprising switches for instructing various operations, the display on the display portion 5a is put off when the device is not used over a prescribed time or more, and whether the display portion 5a is lit or not can be selected when the device is used, or the operating portion 5h is operated during light-out of the display portion 5a, thus the power saving of the remote controller 5 can be selected in accordance with user's preference between the power saving for putting on the display portion when the device is used to give priority to usability, and the power saving for continuing light-out even when the device is used to give priority to power saving, which is very convenient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
