PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form album images with unity. SOLUTION: A template image includes accessory information for color range of each color component of representative colors of photographic images to be synthesized. The representative color of photographic image is detected for each photographic image, and whether the color component of the detected representative color is within the above-mentioned color range or not is determined, and photographic images to be synthesized to the template image are selected. This determination is made for all photographic images, and photographic images selected as photographic images to be synthesized to the template image are synthesized to the template image to form album images.
