PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the adhesion of a toner or the adhesion of an additive to the surface of an electrifying member to solve a problem on the deterioration in an image caused thereby. SOLUTION: The electrifying member for electrophotography has an elastic body layer containing at least a kind of salt selected from a salt containing an alkali metal and a salt containing an alkaline earth metal and set so that the absolute value of the impedance at the frequency of 20Hz is <5×105Ω, and the electrophotographic image forming apparatus uses the electrifying member for electrophotography.
