PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of an image reading means for detecting a mark position while suppressing reduction in productivity in mark position detecting and post processing of a sheet. SOLUTION: In a post-processing device 10, a conveyance belt 14 conveys a sheet. When a direction parallel to a sheet conveyance direction in which the sheet is conveyed is assumed the direction X, and a direction perpendicular to the sheet conveyance direction and parallel to a sheet face of the conveyed sheet is assumed the direction Y, a single one-dimensional CCD sensor 20 reads the image of a mark indicated on the sheet in a line. A side guide 18 relatively transports the one-dimensional CCD sensor 20 and the sheet whose transportation in the X direction has been stopped in the direction Y. An electronic control part detects the position of the mark in the direction X from the image of the read mark, and the position of the mark in the direction Y is detected from the image of the read mark while the one-dimensional CCD sensor 20 and the sheet is relatively transported in the direction Y.
