METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING WASTE WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a method for treating waste water, in which waste water is treated in high energy efficiency without deteriorating electrolyzation efficiency owing to a conductive diamond electrode particularly when a hard-to-biodegrade aqueous medium is treated electrochemically. SOLUTION: The method for treating waste water being the aqueous medium comprises the steps of: electrolyzing the aqueous medium to produce electrolyzed water; and separating volatile substances contained in the produced electrolyzed water and a part of the produced electrolyzed water from the produced electrolyzed water.
