PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium capable of automatically excluding wastes in a vessel and automatically replenishing fertilizer and minerals for a long period and enabling plants in general to be raised and put to ornamental use in an ordinary indoor environment. SOLUTION: The medium 1 is made of a polyurethane and works as follows: There are radially incised at the center to help pass the roots of a plant therethrough, contractive motions are repeated along with amplifying the diffusion of fertilizer and minerals, ion exchange and oxidation/reduction owing to temperature rise and fall to effect plant growth. Besides, for a practice having been regarded as being the most difficult to accomplish, a number of acids including formic acid, acetic acid and oxalic acid are adsorbed and transpired using a powerfully self-water-feeding nonwoven fabric 6 to continually make rhizosphere pure and favorable, thus cultivating the plant.
