SILICA DISPERSION, ITS PRODUCIBILITY EVALUATING METHOD AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluating method of the producibility of a silica dispersion and a manufacturing method of a high grade inkjet recording medium, in which a silica dispersion excellent in producibility obtained by utilizing the evaluating method concerned is employed so as to retain a coating film quality with no defect such as cracky coating failure or the like at the manufacturing of the recording medium and a high image density is obtained.

SOLUTION: In this evaluating method, the producibility of the silica dispersion is judged based on measuring the reaction ratio of molybdenum (Mo) to the silica dispersion by blending the silica dispersion and a molybdic acid aqueous solution with each other.
