<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell of a structure having a separator and a porous body, wherein relative displacements are suppressed between the separator and the porous body. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell is provided with a membrane electrode assembly 800, having an electrolyte membrane 810 and two electrodes interposing the electrolyte membrane, the porous body 840 having a first surface and a second surface, and the separator 1000 having an abutting surface to abut against the second surface 840b of the porous body. The first surface 300a of the porous body faces the one electrode of the membrane electrode assembly, and the second surface of the porous body has recesses. The abutting surface of the separator has projections for engaging with at least part of the recesses the second surface of the porous body has. Since, for the fuel cell, the projections of the separator and the recesses of the porous body are engaged with each other, the relative displacement can be suppressed between the separator and the porous body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
