FLAME-RETARDANT RESIN COMPOSITION, INSULATED WIRE USING THE SAME, AND WIRE HARNESS CONTAINING THE INSULATED WIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition excellent in flame retardancy, mechanical properties, and low-temperature resistance and to provide a nonhalogen insulated wire using the same as its covering material and a wire harness containing the nonhalogen insulated wire.

SOLUTION: The composition essentially consists of (A) 100 pts.wt. propylene resin, (B) 1 to 40 pts.wt. ethylene polymer formed by polymerization in the presence of a metallocene catalyst, and (C) 30 to 200 pts.wt. metal hydrate. The nonhalogen insulated wire uses the composition as its covering material. This wire is used in the wire bundle of a wire harness.
