<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and a method for controlling printing in which anomaly generation is easily detected and the generated anomaly is easily analyzed by leaving conveyance hysteresis and printing hysteresis of a printing medium. <P>SOLUTION: IC tag reading-writing devices (R/W devices) 30a-30f are provided in a plurality of places in a conveyance route through which a printing medium 12 is conveyed. The R/W devices 30a-30f deliver the result of reading an IC tag provided on the printing medium 12 and write the passage time of the printing medium 12 on the IC tag, when the printing medium 12 passes therethrough. On the basis of the result of reading the IC tag, a printer 10 stores the passage time in a control table in a NVRAM 46 by corresponding it to the paper ID for controlling printing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
