METHOD FOR SCREENING TREATING AGENT FOR DIABETES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique useful for the screening of a treating agent for diseases accompanying increase of concentration of soluble insulin receptorαsubunit (IRα) in blood such as diabetes and cancer.

SOLUTION: The therapeutic effect on diseases accompanying increase of soluble IRαconcentration in blood can be evaluated by using the IRαconcentration released in culture supernatant in the case of culturing an insulin receptor expression cell under a high sugar concentration as an index. The treating agent for the disease can be screened by selecting a compound suppressing the release of IRαin the culture supernatant under the condition.
