PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high quality output images by suppressing striped irregularities in a main scanning direction in an intermediate tone area due to coupling of inks by the surface tensions in a photosetting type inkjet recording system. SOLUTION: This inkjet recording system comprises a photosetting type inkjet recording means that has at least two kinds of deep and pale inks per one color hue and can form two kinds of large and small dots per each ink, and an image processing means for forming recording data by looking up a recording ratio table in which gradation values of input image data are correlated with values respectively corresponding to recording ratios of dots in deep, less deep, pale, and less pale colors. The recording ratio table is set such that a range of the gradation values of input image data for use of pale color dots and a range of the gradation values of input image data for use of less deep color dots are roughly the same.
