PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of diffusion limit phenomenon, where the internal resistance of a power supply device increases abruptly during charging/discharging. SOLUTION: Upon elapsing of a predetermined time T1 after starting discharge, intermittent discharge is performed, by alternately repeating discharge and stoppage of discharge. Consequently, the occurrence of diffusion limit phenomenon where ion migration amount in a battery not being able to catch up with the battery discharge rate can be prevented.
