PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire tightening device which facilitates adjustment of initial tension and readjustment of a wire length; enables fine adjustment for a length of a connecting section; is tamperproof; and easily secures connecting strength. SOLUTION: A wire tightening device 3B as shown in Fig. 4 has a tapered surface 12a on an inner peripheral surface of at least one of wire stoppers 4 and 5 respectively mounted on both ends of a wire. The wire tightening device 3B comprises a cylindrical outer member 12 in which an end face 12b at a tapered shrunk diameter side is arranged to turn to a tension acting side and the wire 2 is inserted through, and an inner member 14 detachably press-fitted into an annular wedge space 13 formed between a tapered surface 12a of the outer member 12 plurally divided in a peripheral direction and an outer peripheral surface of the wire 2 inserted into the inner member 14.
