PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector end face machining method that makes simple and accurate machining possible, and also to provide an optical fiber cutter and an optical connector end face machining apparatus. SOLUTION: In storing an optical fiber 2 in a ferrule 3, no adhesive is applied to a part of the optical fiber 2 projected from the end face of the ferrule 3. Instead, there are provided a first process in which the projected part of the optical fiber 2 is cut off to remove the resultant folded part of the optical fiber 2 and a second process in which the end face of the optical fiber 2 is mirror-finished to remove the resultant degenerated layer from the machining.
