PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel capable of suppressing occurrence of appearance defects and display defects and superior in display quality even in the case of manufacture utilizing split multiple exposure. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel has a plurality of structures such as a display electrode 4 and a light shielding layer formed in parallel in a prescribed direction on a front glass substrate 1. The structure has a joint in a plurality of regions E having a prescribed width in a perpendicular direction to the prescribed direction and the joints are arranged at random in the regions E.
