PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupling which has prominent mechanical properties, and requires only a small structural space, and can be economically manufactured, and further to provide an angle measuring device which has a small outside dimension and can accurately operate even when the diameter of a shaft is large. SOLUTION: The coupling 1 connects two structural portions 2, 3, which have base elements 1.11 to 1.16 and 1.11' to 1.16' and a plurality of connecting plates 1.31 to 1.36 formed in connecting regions 1.21 to 1.26 of the base elements, so as to be elastic in the radial direction but highly rigid in the torsional direction, wherein the connecting plates have two supporting points 1.311 to 1.362 arranged at an interval in the peripheral direction, and the connecting regions 1.21 to 1.26 configure the connecting portions of the connecting plates to the base elements, and further the connecting regions and the connecting plates are configured so as to be much more flexible than the base elements in the bending direction.
