PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding shaft for a cylindrical body facilitating replacement of parts and restoration work to improve maintenance property and suppressing eccentricity of the cylindrical body in a holding condition as much as possible to cope with rotation at high speed. SOLUTION: This holding shaft for the cylindrical body holds the cylindrical body 3 having a hollow part 2 in its inside and is provided with a shaft body 5 inserted and fitted into the hollow part 2 in its inside along the direction of shaft axis of the cylindrical body 3, a plurality of inscribed bodies 6 provided to abut on an internal wall part 2a of the hollow part 2 of the cylindrical body 3 in an outer peripheral part 5b of the shaft body 5, and a lug unit 7 for displacing the inscribed bodies 6 in the moving radial direction of the cylindrical body 3 by compressed air to hold the cylindrical body 3 from an inner side.
