PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing or treating antibody-mediated diseases in relevant patients. SOLUTION: A composition for preventing or treating antibody-mediated diseases in relevant patients is provided, containing a curatively effective amount of a monoclonal antibody capable of binding to a human CD40 antigen located on the surface of a human B cell. This composition is to be used in a method involving the step of administering patients demanding such a treatment with it in the form of a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle, wherein binding of the monoclonal antibody to the CD40 antigen effects hindering the B-cell's proliferation or differentiation.
