PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin or an epoxy resin composition capable of providing a cured material excellent in moisture resistance, heat resistance, adhesiveness, low dielectricity, weather resistance and transparency and useful for applications such as lamination, molding, casting and adhesion. SOLUTION: The invention provides an epoxy resin having an adamantane structure represented by general formula (1) (wherein A is a 6-12C hydrocarbon group; R is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; G is a glycidyl group; n is a number of 0-15), an epoxy resin composition obtained by formulating the epoxy resin and a curing agent as essential components, and its cured product.
