PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair washing agent which makes hair after washing smooth and soft in property and also makes hair satisfactorily adsorbable of a treatment ingredient to be applied next. SOLUTION: The hair washing agent contains a water-soluble ester (a) derived from a plant oil, a cationized polymer (b), a pseudocationic polyamine (c), and a surfactant (d). The above-mentioned water-soluble ester derived from a plant oil is preferably a polyethylene glycol ester of a plant oil, and the above-mentioned cationized polymer is preferably a cationized cellulose.
