PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleansing cosmetic which is highly conformable to makeup staining, exhibits excellent cleansing power even in the moistened or unmoistened state of the skin, does not leave an oily feeling behind after washing with water to feel clean, and has a good feeling of use. SOLUTION: The cleansing cosmetic comprises at least one alkyl polyglyceryl ether selected from the group consisting of (A) anα-monoalkyl polyglyceryl ether represented by formula (1) (wherein R is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group or a hydroxyalkyl group and may be straight-chain or branched, and n is an integer of 2 to 10), (B) anα-monoalkenyl polyglyceryl ether, and (C) anα-monohydroxyalkyl polyglyceryl ether.
