The invention relates to a method for the adhesive bonding of the front ends (11, 12, 111, 112) of hollow chamber profiles (13, 113) made of EPDM, using a thermoplastic film material (14, 114); at least one piece of film (14, 114) is heated and, immediately thereinafter, the two front ends (11, 12; 111, 112) are pressed together, a piece of film (14, 114) that has been heated to melting point being inserted therebetween. In order to preclude a separate method step to make openings for the passage of air, the at least one unperforated piece of film (14, 114) is heated through, the heating temperature being adapted to the thickness of the film (14, 114) such that the area of film (14, 114) covering the hollow chamber of the hollow chamber profile (11, 12; 111, 112) is melted away from the area of film on the end face of the front end (11, 12, 111, 112) of each hollow chamber profile (13, 113). |
