A method for evaluating the property of a steel material for a corrosion-resistant line pipe is provided to reduce the number of picking test pieces by enabling an accurate material evaluation of the steel material of the line pipe. In a method for evaluating the property of a steel material for a corrosion-resistant line pipe, a steel slab is heated at a temperature of 1150 to 1300‹C and is rolled under a finishing rolling temperature condition of 820 to 880 ‹C. An evaluation property including yield strength of the steel material of the line pipe is measured. The inferiority of the steel material is evaluated by comparing the measured evaluation property with an evaluation property required.
