<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent keeping on using a storage device in a state that time of a built-in timepiece differs from actual time by battery replacement or intentional time falsification. <P>SOLUTION: This storage device 100 having a recording medium 109 storing content data has: the timepiece 106 allowing reference to the present time, and allowing matching of the time with external reliable standard time (time synchronization); a built-in power source 108 supplying power to the timepiece 106; and a nonvolatile memory 105 recording the time performed with the time synchronization of the timepiece 106. When it is known that the time synchronization is not performed for a time longer than a preset prescribed time by appropriately comparing the present time shown by the built-in timepiece 106 and the time performed with the preceding time synchronization, access to a limited access area 111 of the recording medium 109 is forbidden. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
