<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate capable of improving lighting efficiency by minimizing light leakage from an end face of the light guide plate, and of restraining luminance irregularity at an end of a lighting system. <P>SOLUTION: This light guide plate 1 is formed of a translucent material and is used for introducing incident light from a point-like or linear light source 2 arranged at least on its one end surface to emit it from a light emission surface on the front side. The light guide plate is characterized in that an angle formed by at least either of an end surface of the light guide plate facing to the one end surface being the light entering surface and a side end surface of the light guide plate adjacent to the light entering surface with respect to the surface on the back side facing to the light emission surface is greater than 90°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
