PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image receiver viewing restricting apparatus which is inserted between an image receiver power cord of a television or the like and a home power receptacle and cuts off or connects supply of power to a receiver. SOLUTION: An image receiver viewing restricting apparatus comprises a circuit supplying/cutting off power to a receiver in response to lock operation and setting a power supply time by a timer, between a receiver power cord and a power receptacle. The receiver viewing restricting apparatus comprises a lid which is turned into open state, cooperatively with lock operation, so as to detach a receiver power plug when supplying power, and which is turned into closed state so as not to detach the receiver power plug when cutting off power supply, thereby restricting viewing on a receiver.
