PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strain detector of excellent working efficiency and using convenience where the number of items to be attached is reduced. SOLUTION: This strain detector is provided with a cylindrical resilient element 2 for generating a strain with a load, a resistance element arranged in the resilient element 2 to vary a resistance value in response to a distortion amount, and a signal processing circuit wire-connected to the resistance element. A screw part 4 is formed in upper and lower sides of the resilient element 2 to sandwich the resilient element. While a case 6 arranged with the signal processing circuit is attached to the resilient element 2, the resistance element is arranged on an outer circumferential face of the resilient element 2, and the resistance element is wire-connected to the signal processing circuit.
