PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance coupling/decoupling workability in a vacuum joint structure and a vacuum vessel of a nuclear fusion apparatus. SOLUTION: A center stack 22 is arranged in the center of a vessel main body 21, and top and bottom flanges 34, 35 of the center stack 22 are superposed on the top and bottom connection sections 30, 31 of the vessel main body 21 with interposing two seal members 36a, 36b, 37a, 37b to constitute an internal space 42. The internal space 42 is evacuated to a vacuum state, and suction force of the vacuum state is applied to individual seal zones 43, 44 demarcated by the top and bottom connection sections 30, 31, the top and bottom flanges 34, 35 and the seal members 36a, 36b, 37a, 37b via through holes 39, 41 to join the container main body 21 and the center stack 22 without any clearance.
