PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of quickly evaluating toxicity of a sample containing a plurality of materials that are difficult to be evaluated by a chemical analysis method. SOLUTION: Inspected material from a sample, such as an extracted material from soil or metal, including two or more kinds of detected objects is brought into contact with a predetermined amount of photogenic bacteria, and the luminescence intensity is measured. Each detected object singly does not show toxicity to the predetermined amount of photogenic bacteria such as Vibrio fischeri, at a contained amount in the sample. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
