PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid extra heating of an ice making part during a deicing operation. SOLUTION: This automatic ice machine 10 is controlled by a control means in such a way that, after an ice making thermistor 22 detects a deicing temperature during the deicing operation, the machine is caused to transition into an ice-making operation with a delay of a deicing delay time set by a delay timer. If an ice-making transition temperature set to be higher than that of the ice-making thermistor 22 is detected while the delay timer is counting the deicing delay time, the control means controls the ice machine so that the machine is forced to transition into the ice-making operation without waiting for the deicing delay time set by the delay time to elapse.
